involved! Our Club is involved in the following Local and National Projects Major club projects are: Providing three year University Grants for students who have completed 'Foundation Studies' at Uni SA (Mt Gambier Campus)Providing a Fun Day of activities and food for children and young people
with disabilities, their families and carers on the last Sunday in
February - 2012 was held at South Gambier Football Club Complex,
Blue lake Sports Park. Examples of the clubs activities are:- Fund-raising through Lions Christmas Cakes
- Fund-raising through Lion Mints
- Supporting Lions Youth of the Year Competition
- Fund-raising sausage sizzles at Bunnings Hardware, Mount Gambier
- Fund-raising catering for the Harness Racing Club
- Fund-raising through collecting ticket money at Centrals Soccer matches
- Fund-raising through catering for various companies and organisations and at a range of community events
- Collecting spectacles and sunglasses for recycling
- Collecting other goods that support funding for children's mobility aids
- Building BBQ's, Pergolas, Glasshouses & Outdoor settings for fund-raising
- Providing a Fun Day of activities and food for children and young people with disabilities, their families and carers on the last Sunday in February - 2012 will be held at South Gambier Football Club Complex, Blue lake Sports Park.
- Supporting the Zone Seniors event
- Supporting the local Mount Gambier Senior of the Year event as well as funding the $250 award.
- Supporting Migrant Services
- Providing cash and goods donations to various local and national organisations
- Providing funds for specific equipment at the Mount Gambier Hospital
- Cleaning Kennedy Avenue / Wireless Road east roadsides regularly
- Funding, catering and in kind support for disasters
- Providing three year University Grants for students who have completed 'Foundation Studies' at Uni SA (Mt Gambier Campus)
- Providing disaster relief funds to ALF & LI following the Australian Floods and the Christchurch earthquake.
